In one interview, Jay ‘Wilds said that he and Adnan visited his aunt Diane at her concession outside Hecht’s Department Store while they were shopping for Stephanies present. There are no signs in the BPD record that police attempted to corroborate this with his aunt, or with the mall’s own records.
